Current mood: content co-ordinator

As some of you know, I started gainful employment again back in June.

I have now completed my three-month trial period - and been offered a twelve-month contract, with the idea that it should barring company collapse go permanent.

Being a Content Co-Ordinator is a lot better than being a Library Assistant.

There's more tea involved, for starters.

Actually, it was rather a pay cut, because I'd been a Library Assistant for five years and was at the top of the pay scale; I'm coming in at the very bottom of 'unqualified and never worked in an IT/Web capacity' in this new job.

But at least it's as close to stress-free as any job I've ever encountered.

Oh o.O

I didn't know there were steps for librarian. ^^;

Well, stress-free does have its perks, it sucks working at a job one does not like no matter the pay.

More that if you're working as a Library Assistant in one job for five years you get pay rises in line with your increasing experience. But I wouldn't take that job back even with the £200 more money a month it would give me... because I sort of like my mental health.

Exactly. Content Co-Ordinator job = cup of tea when I want it. Library Assistant job = NO TEA DAMMIT.

Therefore, tea = good. Also lunch when I feel like it, snacks at my workstation, my very own workstation with a brand new boxed-with-manual copy of PSP9, my very own leather 'executive' chair (you know, the kind with a high back that you can hide behind) ...
